WOMEN IN THE KNOW HOSTS LOCAL EDUCATIONAL FORUMS ON WOMEN'S ISSUES IN FOREIGN COUNTRIES

Following
success of 2013 launch, encouraging women to stay current in today’s world





CHICAGO, IL (JANUARY-MARCH 2014) – Women In The Know
is excited to continue hosting free and educational open forums to Chicago-area
women in 2014, kicking off the year with a three-part series on women’s issues
in foreign countries throughout January, February, and March. Owner Amie Marks
is a mompreneur, 2013 Chicago Magazine 5-star wealth
manager*, and registered principal and financial advisor
with Raymond James
Financial Services, bringing together young and seasoned professionals, stay at
home moms, well-traveled women, retirees, social networkers and more to learn
from one another in a fun, laid-back atmosphere. Hot off the heels of a
successful first year of luncheons, mixers, and most recently “An Evening at
the Theatre”, Women in the Know offers an open platform for any woman to stay
current in today’s fast paced world.

From January
through March, Marks will navigate guests through the daily issues of women’s
lives in foreign countries, giving U.S. women a look at the real treatment of
women overseas, touching on women in slavery, the exploitation of women for
business, women oppressed, and more. These open forums will be held in three sequential
parts:



Part 1 – A look at different issues and
struggles women face around the world.

Part 2 – How these issues are being addressed
and what can be done about it.

Part 3 – How far we've come in the fight against
women in slavery and oppression.

These open forums will be held in
Forest Park, Lake Forest, and Chicago.

Women in the Know has previously focused on world issues and timely topics such as
organics and packaging, GMO’s, the U.S. Healthcare system, and more. Women in the Know encourages
guests to speak their opinions, ask
questions, and learn from one another!
