The League of Women Voters - Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Area invites members and guests to its Holiday Luncheon on Friday, Dec. 9 at The Grille on Laurel, 181 E. Laurel, Lake Forest. The Luncheon provides a great opportunity to socialize and catch up before a busy winter with candidate forums and other public programs.
This annual fundraiser features renown story performer Megan Wells presenting "Winter Around the World, Myths and Folktales for the Season". Award winning actress, Megan Wells brings the imagination vividly to life with her unique combination of acting/storytelling. Her original adaptations of world folklore and mythology are filled with humor, heart and wisdom. Winter Tales are multi-cultural stories created to explain the wonder of snow, the patience of winter, the hope of spring. Megan currently is a guest artist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Festivities start at 10:30am in the private dining room, and Ms. Wells begins promptly at 11:00am. Lunch follows. Tickets are $45.00. The annual Holiday Luncheon is a big hit and reservations are limited. The deadline is Tues. Dec 6. For questions or reservations, please email contact@lwv-lflb.org.
