Explore six private gardens in Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Mettawa, and Winnetka, oepn to the public to benefit the Garden Conservancy. No reservations required; rain or
shine. Highlights include specimen trees, a neo-classical folly house, a golfing area in the woodland, a sunken garden walled in stone, an outdoor amphitheater, a butterfly garden surrounded by a yew hedge, an aqua-theater, and a grass labryrinth. Each garden open at 10am; ending times vary. Begin at House of the Four Winds, or see website for additional locations. Admission is $5 per garden; children 12 & under free.
