Volunteers Needed to Pack 100,000 Life-Saving Meals

Volunteers are needed on March 12 at East Lake Academy to help pack 100,000 life-saving meals for developing-world children. Assist in the collaboration between Lindemann Chimney Company, East Lake Academy and Feed My Starving Children to ease famine.

Individual volunteers or church, community or scout groups are needed to place fortified soy, rice and vegetable meals into zip-lock packages to be sealed and prepped for shipping to Asia, Africa or Latin America. Volunteers will work in 2 hour shifts at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to nourishing desperately hungry children in 70 countries. With a staff of 300,000 volunteers, they supply 126 million meals per year to clinics, schools, orphanages and feeding programs.
