How to Support Lake County United Way on #GivingTuesday

This movement aims to inspire people to take action and give back to their local communities.

United Way of Lake County (UWLC) has joined arms with #GivingTuesday to celebrate and encourage charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations.

#GivingTuesday is a global movement to create a national day of giving to start off the annual holiday season. The second annual GivingTuesday is on Dec. 3. The goal of this movement is to inspire people to take action and give back to their local communities.

Ways to give to UWLC this #GivingTuesday:

1. Give a donation in support of UWLC by texting UWLC to 85944 or donating online at LIVEUNITEDlakecounty.org. Any amount helps the United Way’s mission to improve lives in Lake County.

2. You do not necessarily need to make a monetary donation to give this GivingTuesday. You can give by donating your time to being a volunteer. Take the pledge and join Roberto Garza to help cut the dropout rate in half by becoming a volunteer reader, tutor, or mentor. www.unitedway.org/teamgarza

3. Give a gift from our holiday catalog that will help children succeed. These gifts support all of UWLC’s four key programs. By giving our children a solid educational foundation focusing on preventive programs, we are growing a stronger Lake County community. www.LIVEUNITEDlakecounty.org/holiday
