NYC MAYOR BLOOMBERG / MAIG CONNECTION TO HIGHLAND PARK ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN?

When we have a concerted effort involving Gov. Pat Quinn, Lt. Governor Sheila Simon,  House Speaker Michael Madigan, Senate President John Cullerton, Rep. Scott Drury, Senator Morrisey and MAIG Member Mayors... the connection to NYC Mayor Bloombergs MAIG group, seems to be the link between those who PASSED an Assault Weapons Ban. Most Homerule communities did not pass any kind of AWB, but of those that did... the link to NYC Mayor Michael Bloombergs MAIG group is present. So, one has to question the agenda of these local politicians and where their influence is coming from. In my opinion, we need to examine why these municipal leaders took action on a Constitutional matter and are now embroiled in costly litigation, defending the laws they passed, against the will of the residents that elected them. It is important for people to understand that the infuence of a Billionaire from NYC should not be allowed to have more influence with their locally elected officials than the will of the people of the community that elected them to office. It is also my opinion that unless we put a stop to this kind of pandering, we will have lost not only our Constitutional Rights, but also the very democracy of which we depend on. NYC Mayor Michale Bloomberg has spent $250 Million dollard to create the Bloomberg John Hopkins Center for Legislative Research and Gun Control. Bloomberg has spent hundreds of millions to get people elected into office all over the nation. We saw it here in Illinois with the vacancy of Jesse Jackson Jr.'s seat, Robin Kelly was backed by Bloomberg and won. Is this the future of our nation? Well, it does not have to be...in Colorado, two Senators that were backed by Bloomberg were Re-called and a third resigned rather than lose in the Re-call set to happen. The people of Colorado woke up and got up to vote...WILL YOU?
