Woodlands Academy Student Artwork on Display in Three Shows

The artwork of several Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart students can be seen as part of three exhibits this month.

Two of the shows are in Lake Forest. The Lake Forest Library is featuring students’ work through March 20.  In addition, the Deer Path Art League is celebrating Youth Art Month with an exhibit that runs through March 28 and will feature artwork from these Woodlands Academy students: junior Mia Alvergue of Tennessee, junior Zara Anderson of Mundelein, junior Erika Cerillo of Waukegan, senior Darby Clarke of Lake Bluff, sophomore Diana Galarza of Waukegan, junior Tara Gill of Libertyville, sophomore Elena Gutierrez of Waukegan, junior Brooke Hoekstra of Lake Forest, senior Dan Lin Huang of China, sophomore Grace McKiernan of Lake Forest, senior Chloe Scherer of Highland Park, senior Jane Schumacher of Lake Bluff, senior Yi Rui Shao of China, senior Jieqi Tang of China and junior Katherine Velasquez of Gurnee. 

Finally, the University of St. Francis School of Creative Arts in Fort Wayne, Ind., has a high school art exhibition that closes March 23. The following Woodlands students submitted artwork: Zara Anderson, senior Meng Han Chai of China, sophomore Mary Hurtgen of Winnetka, freshman Erin Pattie of Lake Forest, Yi Rui Shao and Jieqi Tang.
