The Friendship Force of Northern Illinois Hosts The Sunshine Coast, Australia

Fun and feasts with The Sunshine Coast, Australia.

For one week (with Farewell on Sept. 24) The Friendship Force of Northern Illinois (FFNI) enjoyed hosting FF Ambassadors from The Sunshine Coast, Australia.  Was it really only seven days?  What a week!  Our wonderful FF Ambassadors were treated to a 'taste of Lake County', so to speak.  Our Australian guests had a ball--and so did members of FFNI!  Together we toured the Lake County Museum, Volo Bog, Volo Auto Museum, and feasted in the homes of our members and in notable restaurants in our area.

Those "Aussies" are great fun!  They treated us with a hilarious finale on the last evening of their visit.  Since Christmas is their summer season they donned Santa Claus stocking caps together with beach attire never before seen in Lake County--and we thought we had seen it all on our beaches here!  Well, it was fun and we hope to have another fabulous exchange visit with any Friendship Force in Australia.  The Friendship Force is truly a 'Force' to love.  We go all over the world making new friends and having fun!  Watch us on our Web site at  www.ffnorthernillinois.org
