Members of The Friendship Force of Northern Illinois recently enjoyed a traditional Seder dinner at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Weissman of Wildwood, IL. The meal consisted of a presentation of the traditions and elements, with explanations as guests followed the brochures and the Weissmans led the ceremony.
Dr. Weissman served as cantor, singing the prayers in Hebrew. Mrs. Weissman (Marcia) and Diana Sanders, also a member of FFNI, led the discussion, prepared and served the meal. Sixteen guests enjoyed learning the history and traditions of the Passover holiday, following the printed directions and translations which were provided. All the guests expressed delight in participating in the ceremony and the delicious dinner.
