Summer’s Flirting With Us Now
Her breath is wet and warm this morn, she’s dusting off her ploys
While springtime struts on center stage and entertains the boys.
She’s bored with sitting in the wings, annoyed with marking time,
She’s using rouge to tint her sky while hinting at her clime.
Abundance is her signature, she points to lavish blooms
That with a bit of labor now will compliment our rooms
Argument well testifying That when she and spring are vying, All will know who wins the prize and Sing her praise to advertise: Lush, seductive summer!
