What Kind of Diet Works for You?

 

Did you ever think about the different ways you can choose to eat?

SAD: Standard American Diet - This diet seems to include everything but the kitchen sink.  All fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, meats and processed foods.

Vegetarian: Plant based diet with or without dairy products or eggs.  With the exclusion of meat, poultry and seafood.

Vegan: Plant based diet with ellminating All animal products.  Eating fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and grains.

Fruitarians: A diet rich in fruits, nuts and seeds without animal products, vegetables and grains.

Raw Food: Consisting of raw, uncooked, unprocessed foods. Often organic.  May include raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds and sprouted grains.  Sometimes including raw eggs, raw dairy, raw fish, raw meat.

Marcrobiotic: Involves grains and local vegetables.  Avoiding processed and refined foods. A lifestyle that describes a simple diet to promote health and longevity.

Ayurvedic: "Science of Life".  A lifestyle and system of medicine that creates a diet based for your own speacial constitution.  Creating Balance and Harmony.

Blood Type Diet:  Association between your blood type and following a specific diet based on the genetic analysis of blood groups.

Gluten Free Diet: Excluding foods that contain glutens. A protein found in wheat, kamut, spelt, barley, rye, malts and triticale and cross contaminated grains such as oatmeal.  

Fad Diets: Long list of diets that often focus on a single element.  Examples include: The Grapefruit Diet, The Cabbage Soup Diet, Low Fat Diet, etc.

Detox Diets: A cleansing diet that will remove toxins and poisons from your body. Cleaning and aid function of the lymph, kidneys and liver.

Breathatarian:  To live without food.  Taking in air and sunlight.

The List Goes On and On and On...

The point is: We are all Bio Individuals. What works for one does not work for another.  t takes time to read your body and find out what works best for you!  

It is a journey to find out what compliments our heredity, interests, lifestyle and composition.
