Lake County Family YMCA invites you to its 100 years of community impact Casino Night celebration beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at DoubleTree by Hilton in Mundelein.

“Many people don’t realize that we’re a cause-driven nonprofit that reinvests in the community,” Board Chair Bob Taylor said.  “We’ve had a presence in Lake County for the past century, starting in Waukegan, home to what’s now our Northern Lake YMCA, and more recently in Vernon Hills, where we have operated our Central Lake YMCA for the past 10 years. Our annual fundraiser enables us to keep the doors open to those in the community who cannot afford our programs and services that foster youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.”

The festive event will feature casino tables, music by the Jack Baron Quartet, dinner, and the raffle of a 2012 Chevy Camaro two-door CPE 1LT or cash prize. Winning ticket will be drawn at the event but winner need not be present.  Raffle tickets are $50 each and only 1,000 tickets will be sold.

Lake County Family YMCA Board Member and Event Committee Chair Dave Wille added that there will be a live and silent auction. “Our committee has procured many wonderful auction items, thanks to the generosity of the local business community,” Wille said.  “There’s sure to be something for everyone at this spectacular event.”

Casino Night tickets are $100 each or two for $175.  Y members’ price is $90 each or two for $160.  Forty-eight percent of the ticket price is tax deductible.  Please check with your tax adviser.  Donations to the Y are 100 percent tax deductible. To purchase event or raffle tickets, make a donation or become a sponsor, call Makayla Cansler at (847) 367-6797 or email mcansler@ymcalakecounty.org or check out www.ymcalakecounty.org.

Make it a great night by having your children enjoy an evening at the Central Lake Y for ages 2 through 12 from 5:30 to 11 p.m. that evening for a nominal fee.

Proceeds from the event will support the Lake County Family YMCA comprised of Northern Lake Y in Waukegan, Central Lake Y in Vernon Hills and Early Head Start in Waukegan.

Appreciation goes to our Monte Carlo sponsor, WXLC 102.3 FM and ESPN Deportes 1220 AM radio stations, and our Atlantic City sponsor, Lake County News-Sun and Vernon Hills Review.
