Using flash drives

Saving important documents, photos, music and more to a flash drive is crucial in the event that your computer crashes. Flash drives also allow for quick and easy transportation of photos, documents, music and more from one computer to another.

 

How To:

1) Insert flash drive into the USB port.

2) Wait for the computer to recognize the drive (if a window opens for your flash drive, click “CANCEL”).

3) Within the document, use “SAVE AS” and click on “My Computer” in the menu.

4) From the list displayed under “My Computer,” choose your flash drive.

5) MAKE SURE that your flash drive name shows up in the “SAVE IN” bar at the top of the window.

6) Now, name your document where it says “FILE NAME.”

7). Click “SAVE”!  Voila!
