Lake Forest Fire and Police Come to the Rescue

Lake Forest Fire and Police Personnel serve residents during heat wave in more ways than one.

Serving the residents of Lake Forest comes naturally to our local Fire and Police personnel, and they were outstanding last week during a hot weather event at the beach.

Knowing that members of the Senior Center were holding their popular annual Breakfast at the Beach, despite extremely hot temperatures, they were right there to lend a hand. Not wanting to miss out, many folks came out to enjoy the morning.

To prevent any problems with the heat, Anne Bolotin, assistant manager, put out a call to see if our public servants might have some suggestions. Police Chief Joe Buerger was on hand with Officer Mike Goy and Deputy Fire Chiefs Kevin Issel and Chris Garrison brought out misting fans to keep things cool for all.

Their generous support gave a lift to the whole group and a safe and good time was had by all.

Hats off to these wonderful service personnel, and the care and concern they demonstrated to long-time residents of Lake Forest.
