Mike Borkowski, District 67 Board of Ed Candidate, Announces Video Series on Hot Topics

Lake Forest Community Members –

I am running for the District 67 Board of Education because I am passionate about education and I care deeply about our community, our children, and our tax dollars.  I've earned the endorsement of the Lake Forest Caucus as well as numerous community leaders and residents who have written letters on my behalf.  

Today I am pleased to announce something new and different in this campaign, something I hope you find truly valuable.  I have created a series titled “Eight Issues, Eight Days.”  Starting on April 1 and on each day thereafter until the election, I will release a short video.  Each day’s video will tackle a different “hot topic” that School District 67 faces.  In each of the three-minute videos, I briefly provide an overview of the issue, and discuss my position.

My goals in creating this series are:

1)    To provide voters an overview of issues facing the district and my perspective on each.  From this, I hope voters are better educated both on the district and my candidacy for the Board.

2)    To begin a “conversation” with the community on these topics.  I don’t pretend to know everything, and I would love to hear your thoughts.  If I am elected, I hope this dialogue would continue with you.

• Relationship of Parents and Administration (aka, Communication)
