Worried About Your Hearing?

Concerned that you’re not hearing properly? One out of every 10 Americans, or 28 million people, has some degree of hearing loss that can affect work and relationships and be a barrier to social occasions. A simple, five-minute hearing test can help determine if you need a comprehensive hearing screening evaluation from an audiologist. Visit www.lfh.org/hearingtest to take the quiz online and learn your score.

“While older adults often suffer from hearing difficulties, infants, children and young adults may experience problems as well,” said Madonna Stoioff, AuD, manager of speech, audiology and neurodiagnostics for Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital.  “For children, early identification of hearing loss is critical to their development. For adults, addressing hearing loss increases confidence and productivity at work and can vastly improve your quality of life as well.”
