A former coach of Lake Bluff girls' softball for eight years, Wally Philipp, 76, passed away suddenly Wednesday (June 20).
A memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. June 30 at . There will be no visitation. Interment will be private in Door County, Wis.
Philipp was an active member at Grace United Methodist for 55 years. He worked for 40 years at R.R. Donnelley.
He was a graduate of Beloit College and a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy, and three children: Stacey, Chris and Jayne (Andrew) Reinhard. Philipp was the grandfather of Kate and Maddie, Vinnie and Leo, and Rhiannon.
