Former School of St. Mary Secretary Dead at 85

Marie Adele Krakora, perhaps best known from her days as the school secretary at in Lake Forest, passed away June 19 at the age of 85.

The Lake Forest resident succumbed to a nearly four-year fight with cancer surrounded by her husband of 62 years, Joseph, and their five children: Janice (John) Looby, Brian, Susan, Joseph and Kevin (Joanne).

Visitation is set from 5-8 tonight (June 22) at , 320 E. Vine Ave., in Lake Forest. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday (June 23) at y, 175 E. Illinois Road, in Lake Forest. Interment will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Lake Forest

In addition to her connection to the School of St. Mary, Krakora was a long-standing member of the Guild of St. Mary. A native of Chicago born in 1927, Krakora graduated from Nazareth Azademy and Rosary College (now Dominican University).

She was the grandmother of 15, great-grandmother of two, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loretta E. and Raymond J. Doleshek, her brother, Richard J. Doleshek, and her daughter, Eileen A. Krakora.
