Glover Was Member of American Legion's Women's Auxiliary

Lake Forest resident is dead at age 92.

 

Volunteerism was a big part of Catherine H. Glover's life in Lake Forest.

The 92-year-old passed away May 21. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. today (May 25) at , 320 E. Vine Ave., in Lake Forest. Mass of Christian Burial wil be held at 10 a.m. Saturday (May 26) at , 175 E. Illinois Road. Interment will be May 26 at Lake Forest Cemetery.

Glover was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Lake Forest Post 264, a volunteer at and a member of the Guild of St. Mary.

She was the wife of the late Alexander H. Glover, who passed away in 2010, and the mother of Eileen Patricia Beckey, Thomas Alexander Glover and the late Mary Catherine Glover Brooks.

Glover was grandmother of Alex and Mary Beckey, Adam and Erin Glover, and great-grandmother of Joseph and Michael Beckey.

She was preceded in death by her brothers James Hopkins and Frank Hopkins, and sisters Grace Hopkins, Dorothy “Daw” Hopkins and Annamarie Tobin. She was the daughter of the late Patrick James Hopkins and Anne Farrell Hopkins.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of St. Mary, 201 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045.
