Lake Forest Woman was Active in Charitable Causes

Memorial Service for Myrna Christopherson Kline, 82, is Saturday.

 

Known for actively participating in charitable organizations, Lake Forest resident Myrna Christopherson Kline, 82,  passed away on Easter Sunday (April 8).

She was born on March 7, 1930, in Kenmare, ND. She leaves behind her three daughters, Mia Kammerer (Mark), Mari Christopherson, and Kari Falls (Chris), and her grandchildren Mark Jr., Jake, Frances, Jamie, Mai, Maren, Ingrid, and Sofia.

She was the wife of L. Patton Kline and the late Weston R. Christopherson. Sister of Walter Christensen, and the late Carol Jean Bothun, and the late Lee Christensen of North Dakota.

Myrna Christopherson Kline grew up on her family farm in Kenmare, ND, attended the University of North Dakota and became a school teacher. She married Weston in 1951 and they settled in the Chicago area to raise their family. A passionate cook, her Scandinavian dinner parties were a sought after invitation.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to McCormick Theological Seminary, 5460 S. University Ave., Chicago, Ill., 60615. No visitation.

A Memorial Service wil be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday (April 14) at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, 700 N. Sheridan Road. Interment will be private.
