Community Update

John B. Lazzaretto, 85





Former longtime resident of Lake Forest passed away at home in
Rockford, Illinois on June 6, 2014. Born in Centerville, Iowa where he attended
Centerville H.S. and was inducted in their HS Athletic Wall of Fame as an
All-State Fullback.  He served as a Sergeant
in the U.S. Army in post War Germany.  Secretary Treasurer and
officer for Laborer’s Local #152, laborer, milkman, bus driver, janitor, and a
friend to all. Member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Highwood
Bocce Club, and Moose Club.



Survivors; Beloved husband of Angie (nee DePerte); Loving father
of John (Amy) Lazzaretto, Ted Lazzaretto, Jeanne (Steve) Roggensack. Sister: Jennie
(Angelo) Maddalon, Numerous  Step-children, nieces, nephews, Grandchildren,
and Great Grandchildren.  Predeceased in
death by parents George and Marguerita; Brothers, Joseph (Rosanne) and
Valentine (Mary) Lazzaretto; Sisters, Mary (Bino) DalPonte and Rose (Martin)
Tagliapietra.

Funeral Mass 10:30 am Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at St.
Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, Il 61109. Entombment
in Warren Cemetery, Gurnee, Il. Visitation Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 5
to 8 p.m at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory  (Mulford
Chapel) 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Ill. Memorials may be made to St. Jude
Children’s Hospital.
