Rep. Scott Drury and the Lake Forrest AWB Ordinance

Rep. Scott Drury has been hand picked by our esteemed Gov. Quinn, to "facilitate" the Assault Weapons Ban" agenda through all Homerule Communities...like Lake Forrest. In my opinion it is a really bad idea and a violation of our Constitutional Right's. Wilson v. Chicago is the Lawsuit that is Challenging the Cook County and City of Chicago AWB. It has been said that the challenge was defeated... it was not. The Illinois Supreme Court, Ordered the lower Court to proceed with the Case, stating that the lower Court FAILED to prove that "Assault Weapons" are not protected by the 2nd Amendment. In the SCOTUS Case of 1939, U.S. v Miller. The Court determined that the definition of the word "Arms" as it were used in the 2nd Amendment, was and is : "Ordinary Military Weapons". Now I propose that Semi-Automatic handguns and rifles are "Defensive Weapons" and I intend to defend my Constitutional Right to own them. I do not have any respect for a bureaucrat, that tries to take away my Constitutional Right's with the swipe of a pen, on a Homerule Community Ordinance. I found the Lake Forrest City Council to be the best City Council that I have ever met, great people, with true American values and respect for our Constitutional Rights.
