Lake Forest Ranked Among 'Most Fashionable Towns in America'

A study by Bundle concluded that nearly 11 percent of Lake Forest residents have made at least four high-end clothing purchases over the last 30 months.

Lake Forest is the 12th most fashionable town in the U.S. according to a study by Bundle, a business and consumer rating website. (See the full Bundle ratings here.)

The Bundle study, which was first done with major American cities like Chicago and New York, pitted small towns across the country against one another based on the number of households who made "at least four transactions at top-end designer merchants over the past 30 months."

According to the study, 10.70 percent of Lake Forest households fell into that "fashion-conscious" category. Newport Coast, Calif., topped the rankings with 16.15 percent.

Bundle's study said 1.5 percent of households nationwide are "fashion-conscious."

Glencoe (15.95 percent), Winnetka (13.74 percent), Highland Park (11.84 percent) and Hinsdale (11.29 percent) are all Illinois towns that ranked ahead of Lake Forest.

Deerfield, Oak Brook, Wilmette and River Forest also made the top 50.

Lake Forest was ranked ahead of well-known towns like Greenwich, Ct. (9.16 percent); Laguna Beach, Calif. (8.62 percent); and Malibu, Calif. (6.75 percent).

In the big-city rankings, Chicago came in at No. 6: 2.42 percent of its households are "fashion-conscious." Irvine, Calif., New York and Los Angeles were the top three most fashionable cities.

Wow! This doesn't totally surprise me, though at the same time, when I think about Lake Forest's style, I usually think of pastel plaid shorts and boat shoes, haha.
