Welp, after a year of Mandarin Chinese at Cherokee, the kids in the program on my street can officially say... next to nothing. What a waste. How about this? Download a free immersion program this summer. Sit with your kid or kids for 30 minutes each day. If they can't speak the language at the end of two weeks. Start over, you're doing something wrong.
Notice the word "free"? Why are my taxes paying for your kids (not) to learn a language at school? Why are schools doing this the most inefficient and most expensive way possible? Don't these schools have computers? Sheesh, you north shore parents will giggle and titter and blow every dollar you possibly can while treating your tubby little kids to daily loads of junk food.
