Part Two: Beyond Lake Geneva

The Elegant Farmer is the home of apple pie in a bag. This delicacy as well as yummy ice cream, cider-baked ham, and seasonal fresh fruit and vegetables are always featured. Sit at the picnic tables just outside and enjoy their delicious pulled-pork sandwiches. I don't recommend eating outside in winter months.

Special events include hayrides, square dancing and apple picking. TheElegant Farmer is located about 25 miles northeast of Lake Geneva near the Mukwanago, at the junction of county highways ES and J.

The Elegant Farmer is also the terminus of the East Troy Electric Railroad completing its 10-mile trip from June through October. Tickets are $12.50 for adults, two dollars less for seniors and eight dollars for children. There are also special gourmet dinner rides. Call 262 642-3263.
