5 Charged with Alcohol-Related Offenses in Lake Forest

ALCOHOL

Wendy L. Walle, 19, of 5133 State Road, Burbank, and Justin L. Bearden, 20, of 7941 South Neenah, Burbank, were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor at 3:31 a.m. Sept. 15 on the 500 block of North Sheridan Road after police responded to a report of two intoxicated minors in a Lake Forest College parking lot. Police said Walle and Bearden were both found with alcohol. They were given administrative hearings Oct. 9 at City Hall.

Geno A. Bernardi, 25, of 63 Oak Avenue, Highwood, was charged with driving under the influence at 3:29 a.m. Sept. 14 at routes 41 and 60 after police responded to a report of a car striking a light pole. Police said Bernardi admitted to drinking and failed field sobriety tests. His court date is Oct. 8 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

Edmund C. Morissette, 60, of 2413 Sherman, North Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence and driving while revoked, both felonies, at 3 a.m. Sept. 14 after an officer saw his vehicle straddling a lane divider at Route 41 and Westleigh Road. Police said Morissette admitted he was drunk and that he failed field sobriety tests. His court date was Sept. 23 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

Michael Burczak, 50, of 9133 Mango Ave., Morton Grove, was charged with driving under the influence at 11:25 p.m. Sept. 11 on Western Avenue at Illinois Road after police said he turned without signaling and weaved over the double yellow lane markings. Police said he failed three sobriety tests, and because he refused to complete all chemical tests, his license will be suspended for a minimum of a year. His court date is Oct. 8 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.
