Joggers vs. Car

An officer received a telephone call from a woman stating at approximately 11:20 a.m. Feb. 12, she was driving her vehicle westbound on East Center Avenue just east of Evanston Avenue. She said there were two female joggers in front of her running in the middle of the roadway. She honked her horn for the joggers to move over, and they both turned and looked at her. There was a car parked on the north side of the street, and the woman said the joggers moved over and she continued slowly past them. She heard a thud an immediately stopped her car, got out and asked the joggers what happened. The one jogger, wearing a dark jogging suit, hair pulled back, approximately 5-foot-7, stated "you hit me." The woman asked if she was OK and needed medical attention. The female jogger said no. The woman observed her passenger-side mirror pushed and the female jogger said she made contact with the mirror and her left elbow. The second jogger has dark hair, loose dark bottoms and a lighter top. The driver said she did not realize she should have waited for the joggers to pass the parked vehicle. The joggers then continued running westbound on East Center Avenue. No victim information at this time.
