Blotter: DUIs Dominate Slate in Lake Forest

Driving Under the Influence (DUI)

A 16-year-old juvenile from Lake Forest was charged with DUI, DUI over .08 and improper lane usage at 2:07 a.m. Dec. 18 near the intersection of Green Bay and Westleigh roads. Officer observed a vehicle stopped for a red light in the cross traffic lane of Westleigh from Route 41. The juvenile was observed driving in the oncoming lane on Westleigh Road. He was stopped, failed field sobriety tests and submitted a breath sample, which indicated a blood alcohol content of .119. He posted a $3,000 personal recognizance bond pending a Jan. 24 court date in Waukegan.

Robert Buehler, 55, 660 Rockefeller Road, Lake Forest, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08 and improper lane usage at 6:44 p.m. Dec. 22 in the 200 block of Illinois Road. Police responded to a report of a reckless driver who was having trouble staying in his lane. Buehler was observed driving in the oncoming lane and almost struck several parked cars. He was stopped, failed field sobriety tests and submitted a breath sample, which indicated a blood alcohol content of .184. He posted a $100 bond and Illinois driver's license pending a Jan. 24 court date in Waukegan.

Henry Oswaldo Corvera Rivas, 30, LKA 2831 W. 23rd St., Chicago, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, no valid driver's license improper lane usage at 12:17 a.m. Dec. 21 near the intersection of Route 41 and Gage Lane. Officer observed the Corvera Rivas commit several lane violations. He was arrested for driving without a driver's license and was transported to the Public Safety Building for further testing. He failed field sobriety tests and submitted a breath test, which indicated a blood alcohol concentration of .112. He posted a $300 bond pending a Jan. 24 court date in Waukegan.
