Blotter: Online Concert Ticket Purchase Turns out to be Scam

Battery

James J. Hart, 37, 406 N. Greenview Ave., Mundelein was charged with battery after a warrant arrest was served at 10:08 a.m. July 10 in the 800 block of Barberry Lane. Hara got into a fight with a co-worker at a construction site at 12:59 p.m. June 21, 2012. The victim was transported to for treatment after being thrown to the ground. Hara's bond was set at $10,000 pending a July 24 court date in Waukegan.

Minor Consumption of Alcohol

A 17-year-old male juvenile from Lake Forest was charged with minor consumption of alcohol at 8:43 p.m. July 4 at Deerpath Community Park, 400 Hastings Road. He was assigned to an administrative hearing Aug. 8 at  

LAKE BLUFF

Theft

A resident on the 1000 block of Campbell Court reported not receiving delivery of a pair of tickets to Lollapalooza concert he paid for on Craigslist at 8:42 p.m. July 2. The man paid $500 for the tickets to someone from Michigan with delivery slated for July 2. The man used a prepaid card to pay for the tickets, and the funds were depleted but no tickets were received.

An iPod and charger were reported taken from two separate vehicles in the 100 block of East North Avenue at 9:49 a.m. June 29. Both vehicles were unlocked and parked in the driveway. The items were taken from both vehicles’ center console between 9 p.m. June 28 and 8:30 a.m. June 29. The iPod was valued at $150, while the charger was valued at $40.

Lost/Missing/Stolen

A LexiWynn purse was reported missing at 1:11 p.m. July 7 after the item was taken from a Dodge Caravan between 6:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. July 6 in the parking lot of the , 355 W. Washington Ave. The car was parked on the northeast side of the parking lot. The purse, located on the passenger side of the vehicle, was valued at $100. Inside the purse was a Liz Claiborne wallet valued at $30. Inside the wallet was an Illinois driver's license, $6 cash and a Visa credit card.

Article Found

A cordless phone was found in the back yard of a residence in the 100 block of Blodgett Avenue and brought to the at 11:05 a.m. July 14. The resident found her dog chewing on the phone in her yard. The item was logged into found property.

An officer located a red, white and blue-colored Baby's R Us stroller in the 700 block of East Center Avenue at 3:37 a.m. July 13. The item was logged into found property.

Stray Dog

A stray white Eskimo dog was found at Sheridan Road near East Witchwood Lane at 8:15 p.m. July 14. The dog had a red collar with no identifying information. The dog was taken to
