Blotter: Man Has Trouble Coming Out of the Cold

LAKE FOREST

Minor Possession of Alcohol

Robert C. Horan, 19, 2343 N. DeCook Court, Park Ridge, was charged with minor possession of alcohol at 11:09 p.m. Feb. 1 in the 600 block of Highview Terrace. Lake Forest Police responded to a loud noise complaint. The arresting officer observed Horan exit a vehicle holding a bottle of alcohol labeled Beefeater Gin. He was under 21 years of age. He said he got the bottle of alcohol from a friend's dorm room. Horan was assigned to an administrative hearing March 14 at Lake Forest City Hall.

Battery

Eduardo Deguzman Jr., 48, 2201 Washington St., Waukegan, was charged with battery, driving while license suspended/revoked and no valid insurance at 11:36 p.m. Jan. 30 in the 800 block of Waukegan Road. Deguzman was picking up his girlfriend from work when he approached his girlfriend's supervisor and struck him in the face with his fist. He posted a $120 bond pending a Feb. 15 court date in Waukegan.

 

LAKE BLUFF

Suspicious Person

While on patrol, officer observed a man wearing not jacket and only a long-sleeved shirt walking near the Lake Bluff Gazebo at 7:49 a.m. Feb. 4.  He appeared to be cold and not dressed for the current outdoor temperature. The man walked the alley way behind the Lake Forest Bank. Officer drove to the front entrance of the Lake Forest Bank and observed the man enter the vestibule and immediately sit down. Due to his suspicious behavior, the officer made contact and the man said he had been drinking in Chicago all night, and took the train from the city to Lake Forest, but fell asleep on the train and missed the stop. He was taken to the Public Safety Building where the man called for a taxi to take him to Lake Forest College.

Added Feb. 10

No Valid Driver's License

Marcos Reaestrada, 34, of Waukegan, was charged with driving without a valid driver's license at 9:27 p.m. Feb. 4 near the intersection of Route 176 and Green Bay Road. He was initially pulled over for speeding and given a warning. Reaestrada posted a personal recognizance bond pending a March 6 court date in Park City.
