Theft

Rachel C. Anstot, 18, 1111 S. Estate Lane, Lake Forest, was charged with the theft of an iPhone 4 cell phone at 8 p.m. May 3. She posted a $120 bond pending a June 5 court date in Park City.

LAKE BLUFF 

Found Article

A set of keys was found in the Public Safety Building at 5:55 p.m. May 9. The item was logged into found property. 

Stray Dog

A dog was found in the 1800 block of Shoreacres Road at 6:59 p.m. May 8. The type and color of the dog was not available. The dog was transported to Knollwood Animal Hospital.

Active Warrant

Kevin McNellis, 30, 16725 Chaucer Drive, Orland Park, was found to have an active warrant in his name when he was pulled over for a traffic violation at 7:25 a.m. May 4. McNellis was ticketed for driving the wrong way on East Sheridan Place and driving on an expired license. The warrant was for reckless driving with a $25,000 bond. He was taken to the Lake Bluff Police Department where his parents posted 10 percent of his bond pending a May 31 court date in Bridgeview.

No Valid License

Martin Marin, 33, 4255 Greenleaf, Park City, was charged with no valid driver's license and speeding at 8:46 a.m. May 2 near the intersection of Rockland Road and Skokie Highway. Marin was traveling 78 mph in a 55 mph sped zone heading north on Route 41. He posted a personal recognizance bond pending a June 5 court date in Park City.

Manuel Vargas-Correra, 42, 1209 Thyne Court, Wheeling, was charged with no valid driver's license and having a dark-tinted license plat holder at 2:56 p.m. May 10 near the intersection of Green Bay Road and Washington Avenue. He posted a personal recognizance bond pending a June 5 court date in Park City.

Guadalupe Gaytan, 18, 547 S. Lincoln Ave., Waukegan, was charged with no valid driver's license and speeding at 6:30 p.m. May 6 near the intersection of Skokie Highway and Rockland Road. Gaytan was clocked traveling 85 mph in a 55 mph zone. She posted a personal recognizance bond pending a June 5 court date in Park City.

Missing/Lost/Stolen

A house in the 200 block of Hancock Avenue reported various items missing at 5:14 p.m. May 2. The items have been noticed missing over a period of months, and included an incomplete set of 12 sterling silver, a wedding band with criss-cross diamonds, a salt water pearl bracelet and a gold-braided bracelet. There was no sign of forced entry. No value for the items was available.

Burglary

A home in the 400 block of Pine Court reported a burglary at 11:13 a.m. May 7. The homeowners believe the burglary took place within the previous 48 hours. Numerous items were taken from the home, including three laptop computers, one office computer, two 27-inch HD televisions, a Sony PS3 computer, Sony and Microsoft video games, Canon Rebel photo equipment, and a Canon PowerShot camera. No value of the items was available. No forced entry was found. Police canvassed the area. The case remains under investigation.

Identity Theft

A resident reported credit card fraud totaling $643.95 in charges at 1:56 p.m. May 6. The purchases made on April 19, 20. 21 and 26 were baby and kids clothing from a website in Ohio, and the items were shipped to an address in Union City, NJ.
