Revoked Driver's License

Moises Melendez-Zamora, 50, of Waukegan, was charged with speeding and driving with a suspended license near the intersection of Ravine Forest Drive and Sheridan Road at 7:55 p.m. Sept. 17. The officer observed Melendez-Zamora traveling 12 mph over the posted 40 mph speed limit on Sheridan Road in his 1984 Mercury. He posted bond pending a Oct. 4 court date in Park City.

No Valid Driver's License, Speeding

Ruben Perez, 26, of Highland Park, was charged with speeding, driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle at 11:45 a.m. Sept. 17 near the intersection of Rockland Road and Shagbark Lane. Perez was clocked traveling 81 mph in a 55 mph speed zone on northbound Route 41 in his 2003 Mazda. He posted bond pending an Oct. 4 court date in Park City.

Possession of Marijuana, Possession with Intent to Deliver

Kevin Law, 20, of Lake Bluff, was charged with possession of marijuana greater than 10 grams  but less than 30 grams, improper display of license plate, possession of marijuana with intent to deliver greater than 10 grams and less than 30 grams, driving with a suspended license, no insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia at 10:05 a.m. Sept. 14 on Rockland Road. Officer observed the vehicle with no license plate in the front, and upon investigation noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. An amount of marijuana greater than 10 grams but less than 30 grams was found in a backpack along with a smoking pipe. Law posted the $2,000 bond pending an Oct. 13 court date in Waukegan.

Driving with Suspended License, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol

Israel Villa, 19, of North Chicago, was charged with not having operating taillights, driving with a suspended license and illegal transportation of alcohol at 7:51 p.m. Sept. 14 near the intersection of Sheridan Road and Crabtree Lane. Villa posted bond pending an Oct. 4 court date in Park City.

Driving with Suspended License, No Insurance

Mark Arriaga, 39, of Waukegan, was charged with operating his 1998 Dodge with a broken taillight, driving with a suspended license and no insurance at 5:07 a.m. Sept. 14 near the intersection of Sheridan Road and Crabtree Farm. He posted bond pending an Oct. 1 court date in Park City.

Criminal Damage to Property

An vile and degrading word was reported spray painted on the west side of a house in the 600 block of Moffett Road at 2:56 p.m. Sept. 11. No monetary value of damages was available.

Found Article

A black and silver AT&T Pantech flip cellphone was found at the north end of Sunrise Beach at 5:24 p.m. Sept. 17. The phone was logged into Found Property.

911 Investigation

Officer responded to the 200 block of East Woodland Road to meet with a homeowner who dialed 911 at 6:02 p.m. Sept. 16. The homeowner said she was looking for her missing cat. The officer provided the homeowner with a nonemergency telephone number and advised that she use that number for any future inquiries regarding her cat.

Suspicious Person

An officer responded to Oak and East Scranton avenues for a delayed report of a suspicious person at 8:03 p.m. Sept. 16. A woman said that a male approached her and her friend and stated he loved them. The woman was unable to give a physical description of the man.

Possible Suicide

Officer responded to the 12000 block of West Sanctuary Lane for a report of a man who said he wanted to kill himself at 1:39 a.m. Sept. 14. The complainant said the man possibly ingested some unknown pills and had fled the residence. Officers checked the area and located the man at the park on Atkinson Road and Adelphia Avenue. The man was apprehended after a short foot pursuit and placed in handcuffs for his own safety. Officers questioned him and asked if he was going to hurt himself. He said he was thinking about killing himself, but later said he wouldn't do it. When asked about ingesting some pills, he said he did not take any pills He agreed to voluntarily go to for a mental evaluation. He was uncuffed and taken by ambulance.

LAKE FOREST

Unlawful Possession of False Identification

Manuela Figueroa, 21, 1053 Pine St., Waukegan, was charged with unlawful possession of  false identification at 2:10 p.m. Sept. 7 near the intersection of Route 41 and Deerpath. Figueroa was stopped for speeding and was arrested for no valid driver’s license. The false identification was located subsequent to arrest. He was released on a personal recognizance bond pending an Oct. 4 court date in Park City.

Trespassing

Marshall G. DeGiase, 22, 32 June Terrace, Lake Forest, was charged with trespassing at 12:16 a.m. Sept. 11 in the 500 block of Sheridan Road. DeGiase was detained by Lake Forest College Security and turned over to Lake Forest Police for trespassing at South Campus. He had previously been warned to leave campus. DeGiase was assigned an administrative hearing Oct. 12 at Lake Forest City Hall.

Aggravated Home Repair Fraud/Felony Theft

Michael G. Baker, 54, 32820 N. Almond Road, Grayslake, was charged with aggravated home repair fraud and felony theft at 5:40 p.m. May 17 on Red Fox Lane. After entering into an agreement with victim, who was over 60 years old, Baker continued to request more money for the installation of windows. He eventually stopped communicating with victim and never installed the paid for windows. The total amount paid by victim was $30,000. Baker was remanded to Lake County Jail on a $250,000 bond pending a Sept. 12 court date in Waukegan. No further information was available.
