Driver Seeks Directions, Gets Arrested

The following arrest information was supplied by the Lake Bluff Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Driver’s License Infractions 

Adan Castrogon-Garcia, 64, of North Chicago was arrested Wednesday for driving without a valid driver’s license and failure to signal a turn when required, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. 

When police stopped Castrogon-Garcia for failing to signal for a right turn at the intersection of Waukegan Road and Albrecht, he said he needed directions, according to report. After checking further, police learned he did not have a license. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. April 2.

Adela Rogel-Vera, 43, of North Chicago was arrested Thursday for driving without a valid license, improper lane usage and driving without insurance, according to Lake Bluff Police reports

Police spotted Rogel-Vera crossing a solid white line and driving on the left shoulder while heading north on Highway 41 near the north Village limits, according to the report. She told police she was tired. An investigation determined she did not have a valid driver’s license. She was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 10:30 a.m. April 2 in Park City.

Identity Theft 

A Lake Bluff resident learned of a potential identity theft when a call from a credit card company informed the person of a charge at a restaurant in Europe, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. Further investigation by the victim revealed additional charges. The person cancelled the card and reported the activity to the police.
