DUI Charge, Garage Burglarized in Lake Bluff

ALCOHOL

David E. Roberts, 63, of the 400 block of East College, Lake Forest, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a blood-alcohol content above  the legal limit, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of alcohol at 1:08 a.m. Oct. 6 on Sheridan Road near the border of Lake Bluff and Lake Forest. His court date is Nov. 8 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

ALARM

Officers responded to an active burglar alarm at 12:19 p.m. Sept. 27 on the 100 block of Hamilton Court and found a partially opened window with the screen in place. Police also found an unsecured rear sliding door. Officers found nothing disturbed inside the home. They remained there until the homeowner returned.

BURGLARY

A resident of the 12000 block of Sanctuary Court reported at 6 p.m. Sept. 30 that someone entered their open garage door overnight and removed a purse containing a wallet, cash, credit cards and other personal items.

INVESTIGATION

An officer responded to a home on the 700 block of Rockland Road after receiving a 911 call. A resident stated that his wife accidentally called 911 while cleaning the phone.
