Firearms Stolen from Lake Forest Coach House

A traffic stop also led to two arrests and two citations in this Lake Forest police blotter.

The following information is from the Lake Forest Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Residential burglary

Someone broke into a coach house and stole numerous firearms sometime between 8:45 p.m. March 22 and 12:45 p.m. March 23. Anyone with information should contact Det. Kevin Zelk at ZelkK@cityoflakeforest.com.

Two charged and two cited after traffic stop

A police officer pulled over a vehicle for driving without a headlight at Route 41 and Westleigh Road March 29 at 12 a.m. The driver, Pedro Enriquez, 26, of Chicago, was charged with driving while license suspended and was released on a $1,500 bond with a May 20 court date.

Gustavo M. Najera, 20, of Waukegan, a passenger in the car, was found with open alcohol and cocaine, police said. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was held overnight and then released on $10,000 bond with an April 9 court date.

Two other passengers, Gilberto Avila, 33, of Round Lake Beach and William Vega, 19, of Waukegan, were cited for illegal transportation of alcohol. Vega was also cited for possession of alcohol by a minor. They both posted $120 bond and were given May 20 court dates.
