Lake Bluff Man Arrested for Cannabis After Car Crash

Driving under the influence

On 7/8/13 at around 6:10 PM Police responded to a cell phone complaint of a black Saturn swerving on Route 41. An officer located the vehicle and observed it drive onto the shoulder several times. The officer stopped the Saturn and spoke withNicholas R. Stevenson, 27, of Chicago, who was the driver. Stevenson exhibited a strong odor of alcohol and told the officer he had recently been arrested for DUI in Michigan. He failed three field sobriety tests and open bottles of rum, vodka and wine were found in his car.He was taken into custody for driving under the influence of alcohol. Stevenson was processed and released on bond with an August court date.

Possession of cannabis

Officers responded to a report of a traffic crash on Route 41. An officer located cannabis and drug paraphernalia in the car driven by Kyle E. Palmer, 22, of Lake Bluff. He was cited for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia and faces an August court date.
