Lake Bluff Police Blotter: Burglary, Beach Curfew, Other Reports

Burglary 

More than 100 pieces of aluminum used in the construction of houses were reported stolen Sunday from a fenced lot in the 100 Block of Albrecht, according to .

Three adults were required to take a taxi cab home from Sunrise Beach August 16 after violating curfew, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. The driver was given a breath test by police to determine if he was fit to drive and agreed to take the cab and get the car in the morning. All three were given verbal warnings about curfew. Police waited until the men were in the cab. 

Keys Locked in Car

A man called Lake Bluff Police August 17 to report he locked his keys in the car, according to Lake Bluff police report. Upon investigation, police determined the person who claimed to have left his keys in the car was not the registered owner. The man declined to have the owner contacted. No further action was taken. 

Lost, Missing, Stolen 

A gold Schlage and silver Ilco key were found near the Lake Bluff Post Office Tuesday and logged into the found property section of the Lake Bluff Police Department, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. 

A watch and outdoor extension cord were reported stolen Saturday in the 400 block of Oak Ridge Court, according to Lake Bluff Police reports..

A stray black dog and white puppy were found Saturday in the 200 block of Ravine Forest Drive and impounded at the Knollwood Animal Hospital, according to Lake Bluff police reports.
