Lake Bluff Police Blotter: Driver Hurt Losing Control in Snow and More

Injury Accident 

A driver was injured Jan. 23 when the person lost control of the car being driven in snowy conditions while heading southbound on Highway 41 south of Highway 176, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. 

According to the report, the driver lost control of the car, slid off the roadway and hit an embankment causing the injury. Police did not know the extent of the injury.

DUI 

Michael Polit, 30, of North Chicago was arrested Jan. 26 for driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding, according to Lake Bluff Police reports

Police clocked Polit exceeding the speed limit while driving southbound on Green Bay Road near Highway 176 and initiated a stop, according to the report. After the stop, police determined Polit was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was released on bond and will appear in Lake County Court at 9 a.m. Feb. 15 in Waukegan.
