Officers responded to a car stuck in the snow near the West Scranton Bridge Tuesday, according to Lake Bluff Police reports. While that motorist was awaiting a tow truck, another vehicle got stuck and the officer helped push it out.

Later in the day, a car was stuck on Woodbine Road and an officer waited with the driver until a tow truck arrived, according to the report. Police were also called to help a motorist stuck in the snow that day at Green Bay Road and Highway 176. Before the police arrived, a school district vehicle assisted the driver.

A car also got stuck in a snow bank Thursday in the 100 block of East Washington Street, according to the report. Police responded and shoveled the driver out of the situation.

“We had so much snow in such a short period of time there was trouble keeping up with it,” Gallagher said. “Drivers were losing control and sliding off the road. We assisted them and kept traffic moving.”
