Lake Co. Deputy Coroner Saves Family from Flooding

The family, including a young boy, were submerged up to their chests in their car Monday night.

A Lake County deputy coroner is being hailed as a hero by a Lincolnwood family of four for getting them out of their car that was partially submerged in water in Lake Bluff during Monday night’s flooding, according to an article in the Chicago Sun-Times.

The Le family, including their 4-year-old son and mother-in-law, were up to their chests in water on Route 41, but refused to get out of the car. So Jason Patt went in to get them and then brought them to his coroner’s truck to warm up, the article says.
