Lake Forest Fire Department Closes Mansion Blaze Investigation

Investigation ends without a determination of how the Nov. 11 fire started.

Lake Forest fire investigators were unable to pinpoint the cause of the blaze that destroyed a home Nov. 11 on the 1000 block of Keswick Lane.

Battalion Chief Mike Gallo told Patch that the investigation was closed Dec. 5 with the cause of the fire listed as “undetermined.”

The fire swept through the 6,000-square-foot home in the early morning hours, according to multiple media reports. When firefighters arrived, “the roof was on the verge of collapse,” Gallo told the Chicago Sun-Times.
