Three days later, Kinnucan drew the attention of Lake Bluff police on three separate occasions.

An officer responded to Sheridan Road and Shore Acres Road for a white male wearing an Army jacket using his hand to represent a gun and pointing at cars at 7:36 a.m. April 10. He had a white blanket around his shoulders. Officers spoke to the man, who was identified as Kinnucan.

He was advised to walk on the bike path. Officers from the North Chicago Police Department arrived and stated they received reports in their town. Kinnucan proceeded down the bike path walking toward Lake Forest.

About an hour later, officers responded to Shore Acres Country Club after a report of a white male asking to become a member. It was Kinnucan. The officer met with the complainant, who said it is fine if he is on the property. He asked for a cup of coffee. When officers arrived, he was walking west toward Sheridan Road.

At 10:40 a.m., multiple calls were received about Kinnucan, who was making comments to passersby. He stated he had a lighter and was going to burn someone and then refused. He urinated on the street in the 30 block of East Center Avenue.

Officers arrived and located Kinnucan by the Village Green. Officers spoke to the complainants, who did not wish to sign a formal complaint. The officers observed Kinnucan walk toward the Sheridan Road bike path and head south.
