Lake Forest Man Charged with Battery, Drug Offenses

ALCOHOL

Theresa S. Jones, 40, of 332 Leith Ave., Waukegan, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 12:06 a.m. Dec. 28 on Route 41 at Gage Lane after an officer stopped her for improper lane use. Police said Jones exhibited a strong odor of alcohol, admitted to drinking and failed three field sobriety tests. The officer also found an open alcohol container in her car. Jones was released on a $3,000 bond and given a Feb. 11 court date at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

BATTERY

Jason J. Tompidis, 30, of 1379 N. Western Ave., Lake Forest, was charged with domestic battery and possession of drug paraphernalia on Jan. 3 after police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in an apartment on the 1300 block of Western Avenue. Police said Tompsidis choked, scratched, bit and pulled the hair of another person. He was also in possession of a glass smoking pipe containing cannabis, police said. His court date is Jan. 22 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

DRUGS 

Jeleeza Moncivaiz, 20, of 1229 Central Ave., Highland Park, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs at 6:17 p.m. Dec. 30 on Route 60 at Saunders Road after police said she struck another vehicle from behind. Police said they smelled burnt cannabis and located cannabis in Moncivaiz’s vehicle. She admitted to police that she had smoked it prior to the crash, police said. Her court date is Jan. 28 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

TRESPASSING

Jared M. Coleman, 38, of 775 N. Bank Lane, Lake Forest, was charged with criminal trespass to motor vehicle at 9:40 a.m. Dec. 30 after North Chicago police located him driving a black Lincoln that had been reported stolen Dec. 27. The vehicle was reportedly taken from a home on the 1200 block of Burr Oak a month earlier. His court date is Jan. 16 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan. 

WARRANT

John R. Ryan, 29, of 609 S. Wille, Mount Prospect, was arrested on warrants from multiple departments after Lake Forest police responded to a report of a suspicious person in an office building at 2:05 p.m. Dec. 27 on the 100 block of Saunders Road. Police spoke with Ryan and discovered he was wanted on warrants from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the Forest Park Police Department and the Schaumburg Police Department. He was transported to Lake County Jail pending extradition to those municipalities. Court information was not available.
