Lake Forest Police Conduct Youth Baseball Clinic

Registration deadline is Jan. 30; forms accepted at Lake Forest Police Station only.

 

The will conduct its 13th annual Baseball Clinic Feb. 12 at the Walter Payton Center, Halas Hall, 1930 Football Drive, in Lake Forest.

Registration forms are available at the Lake Forest Police Station, and via the City of Lake Forest website.

Registration forms accepted at the Lake Forest Police Station only. The limit for each session is 125 kids. Deadline for registration is Jan. 30.

The clinic, known as “Spring Training” for kids to practice for the upcoming season, is one of the largest free baseball clinics in the country. Participants must be in grades 2-8 and reside in Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, or Knollwood, or have a parent employed by the City of Lake Forest. Participants will receive a 2012 LFPD Baseball Clinic t-shirt.

Fifth through eighth graders will meet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and second through fourth graders will meet from 2:30-6:30 p.m.

Coaches for the clinic are volunteers from the Lake Forest Police Department, baseball teams, BatSpeed Academy in Gurnee and the Lake Forest/Lake Bluff communities.
