Ariel M. Lizama, 42, of Park City was arrested for residential burglary by August 3 as the result of an investigation arising out of an incident in a private Lake Forest Home July 3, according to Lake Forest Police Chief Jim Held.
Lizama was a long term housekeeper in the home who had been taking jewelry and other items over a period of time, according to Held. After the death of one of the residents, a jewelry appraiser discovered there was less jewelry than the last time an appraisal was conducted.
“We contacted the pawn shops and confronted the woman,” Held said. Some of the jewelry was found in area pawn shops, according to Held. “That made our case.”
