Lake Forest Police Host Bike Rodeo Saturday

Free event teaches bicycle safety for all riders.

The Lake Forest Police Department will host a free Bicycle Rodeo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday (May 14) at the Oakwood Parking lot, located at the northwest corner of Deerpath and Oakwood avenues (next to ).

This rodeo includes a series of stations, each dealing with an important aspect of safe bicycling. Kids will have their bikes inspected and learn about skills that will increase their enjoyment of bicycling.

Participants must bring their own bicycles and helmets.

After completing the stations, each participant will receive a certificate and a free raffle ticket. There will be raffle drawings throughout the event for various bicycle accessories.

At the end of the event, there will be a drawing for a free bicycle (winner not need to be present).
