The information below comes from the Lake Forest Police Department.

Consumption of alcohol by minor

A juvenile male was stopped for a traffic violation at 1:15 a.m. on Jan. 27 and cited for a curfew violation and driving outside the allowable time on his license. He was also cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor after admitting to having alcohol earlier in the evening. A female passenger was also cited for violating curfew. Both juveniles were released to parents.

Unlawful possession of cannabis

John Rosencrans, 18, of Lake Bluff, was cited for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis after he was found with marijuana at Lake Forest High School on Jan. 25.

Domestic battery

Officers responded to a home in the 600 East block of Morningside for a domestic disturbance. Tracey Rasmussen, 47, of Lake Forest, after being denied entry to the home, forced her way in through a garage door. She took the caller’s phone, struck the caller in the face, and damaged numerous items in the home, police said. She then left the home in her car.

An officer located and stopped Rasmussen driving toward her house. She displayed a strong odor of alcohol, admitted to drinking, and failed field sobriety testing, police said. Subsequent to arrest she provided a breath sample indicating a blood alcohol content of .126. Rasmussen was charged with Domestic Battery, Driving Under the Influence, Criminal Damage to Property, Unlawful Interference with the Reporting of Domestic Violence and Criminal Trespass to Residence and was held overnight for a bond hearing at Lake County Jail.
