Man Charged in Lake Forest Home Burglaries

Lake Forest police have charged a Chicago man with burglarizing two homes and attempting to burglarize two others earlier this year.

Lake Forest police arrested a Chicago man who they said burglarized two homes in Lake Forest and attempted to burglarize two more.

Destyne L. Butler, 18, of 5226 S. Indiana, Chicago, was charged with two counts of residential burglary, two counts of attempted residential burglary and two counts theft on Nov. 19, according to a police report released Tuesday. All of the charges are felonies.

The charges stemmed from an investigation that began July 30 following burglaries on the 0-100 block of East Pembroke and on the 1100 block of West Winwood, as well as attempted burglaries on the 200 block of north Warwick and on the 100 block of South Wallace.
