Man Charged with Battery to Lake Forest Police, Paramedic

BATTERY

Caleb N. Pace, 24, of 3501 Green Bay Road, North Chicago, was charged with battery to police and fire personnel and resisting arrest at 11:18 p.m. Nov. 22 on Green Bay Road at Westminster after a cab driver reported a passenger was passed out and unable to give directions or an address. Officers said they found Pace heavily intoxicated and passing in and out of consciousness. They said Pace kicked a paramedic who began transporting him to a hospital and also kicked an officer who tried to assist. Police said Pace continued attempting to kick and bite them as they attempted to take him into custody. He was transported to Lake Forest Hospital for examination, and then returned to police custody. His bond was set at $10,000 the next day and he was scheduled to appear in Lake County Court on Dec. 3.

Daniel J. McCrossan, 29, of 771 N. McKinley Road, Lake Forest, was charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct at 9:40 a.m. Nov. 30 after police received a report of a domestic disturbance in an apartment building on the 700 block of North McKinley Road. Police found the apartment’s door kicked in, which they said McCrossan admitted doing after becoming frustrated when the renter wouldn’t let him in. He was released on a $1,500 bond His court date is Dec. 19 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.
