Man Faces Drug Charges, Teen Charged with Theft in Lake Forest

ALCOHOL

Kevin P. Lynch, 49, of 505 N. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 8:32 p.m. Dec. 27 on Route 43 at Westmoreland after he was stopped for speeding and swerving across lane markings. He was released on a $3,000 bond and given a Jan. 14 court date at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

Olivo B. Cervantes, 57, of 10644 Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a revoked license (both felony charges) at 6:48 p.m. Dec. 22 on Route 41 at Gage Lane after he was stopped for swerving. He was also arrested on a warrant from Cole County for driving under the influence and unlawful use of a weapon. His bond was set at $35,000. He was taken to Lake County jail for a bond hearing the next day and extradited to Cole County. His court date is Jan. 3 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

Joyce Dusek-Cvijovic, 51, of 241 W. Washington Ave., Lake Bluff, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 12:29 a.m. Dec. 13 on Westleigh Road at Basswood after police responded to a report of a possible intoxicated driver. An officer stopped her after seeing her vehicle swerve across lanes multiple times. She was released on a $3,000 bond and given a Jan. 14 court date at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

Norman A. Brown, 52, 1567 Ridge Ave., Evanston, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a revoked license (both felony charges) Dec. 12 on Route 41 at Old Elm Road after police responded to a report of an erratic driver and saw Brown’s vehicle swerve across lane markings. His bond was set at $25,000 and he was given a Jan. 20 court date at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan. Police said his license will be suspended for at least a year because he failed to complete off of the requested chemical tests.

Caroline Gonos, 37, of 2545 W. Catalpa, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol at 11:24 p.m. Dec. 7 on Route 41 at Route 60 after police responded to a one-car crash that occurred when Gonos struck the median. She was released on a $3,000 bond. Her court date is Jan. 28 at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

DRUGS

Matthew L. Bruning, 20, of 692 Tomahawk Lane, Crystal Lake, was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance (both felony charges), possession of false identification and possession of drug paraphernalia at 5:47 a.m. Dec. 8 at Lake Forest College after police received a report of a man smoking cannabis in a car. Police said they found cannabis packaged for resale, suspected psychedelic mushrooms, drug paraphernalia, a false identification and more than $1,300 in cash. Bruning’s bond was set at $5,000 and he was given a Jan. 14 court date at the Lake County Courthouse in Waukegan.

THEFT

Trent S. Mosier, 19, of 594 Glenwood Road, Lake Forest, was charged with retail theft at 8:15 a.m. Dec. 27 at Jewel after staff reported he was seen hiding alcohol in his clothing and leaving without paying. Police said Mosier admitted taking the alcohol. He was released on a $120 bond and given a Feb. 4 court date.
